Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the CastIQ website at https://castiq.in and the CastIQ mobile application (together, the "Service"), operated by CastIQ ("we", "us", "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

CastIQ turns videos, PDFs, audio, and photos into study material — notes, summaries, quizzes, flashcards, mind maps, presentations, an AI question-paper solver, and an AI study chat. Features and output types may be added, changed, or removed over time.

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
• The Service is intended for users at least 13 years of age.
• One account per person — do not create multiple accounts to circumvent free-tier limits or promotions.

You agree not to:

• Upload content you don't have the right to use, or that infringes someone else's copyright.
• Use the Service to generate or distribute unlawful, defamatory, or harmful material.
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, reverse-engineer the Service, or interfere with its normal operation.
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

CastIQ offers time-based subscription plans — not recurring auto-debit subscriptions. Each purchase grants fixed-duration access (e.g. 1 month, 6 months, or 1 year) with every feature included; plans differ only in duration and price, not in what you get access to.

New accounts receive a free trial on signup. When it ends, previously generated content remains accessible, but new generations require an active plan.

Payments are processed securely through Razorpay. We do not store your card details. All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR) and inclusive of applicable taxes. Plans do not auto-renew — buying another plan while one is active extends access from the later of today or your current expiry date. See our Cancellation and Refund Policy for how ending or refunding a plan works.

We may update plan prices or durations for future purchases; changes never affect a plan you've already bought.

You retain ownership of the videos, PDFs, audio, photos, and text you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to process it solely to generate your requested study material. We do not use your uploaded content to train AI models without your explicit consent, and we do not sell your content or personal data.

Notes, summaries, quizzes, flashcards, and other output are generated by AI and may contain errors or inaccuracies. CastIQ is a study aid, not a substitute for your own judgment or verification — always cross-check generated material against your source content or syllabus before relying on it, especially for exam preparation.

The CastIQ name, logo, website, and app (excluding your own uploaded content and the study material generated from it) are owned by CastIQ and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our branding or underlying software without permission.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account in the app, or by emailing teams@castiq.in. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Deleting your account does not entitle you to a refund for unused time on an active plan beyond what's described in our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that generated content will be accurate or complete. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CastIQ is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including exam outcomes based on generated study material.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in-app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
